This mime, "Hands," depicts how God created our hands (for building, loving, protecting, giving) and how we misuse them (tearing down, hating, hurting, being selfish). Contrastingly, Jesus' hands were nailed to a cross for our freedom and redemption. We now have the opportunity to respond... to reject Him or to accept and believe.

Sia Drammatico!
Yesterday we met with a drama instructor and another mission team to practice one of the dramas that we will perform on Good Friday. It was the first time that we were all in the same place at the same time, and we enjoyed getting to know one another a little better through the drama practice.

Join Us in the Journey!
Are you interested in joining us as we journey to Italy? You can participate in what God is doing in the Naples area by meeting the needs of our team members!
1. Give -- The staff and students are raising money to be able to take this trip. Would you consider participating by giving financially? Visit this site to learn more about giving online.
2. Pray -- Please pray that God would provide ample funding for each of the team members! We hope to purchase plane tickets soon, so we don't have much time. Pray that the funds would come in quickly and abundantly.
Thank you for your support as we prepare to serve Jesus in Italy!

Where We'll Be
We will be staying in this hotel...
Here is the back of the hotel (entrance to the church on the left).
The Church (Il Faro International Baptist Church) meets in the bottom floor of the hotel, so we'll be conveniently located.
And this is the view when you exit the church. Mmm, Mediterranean Sea.

The People!
We will spend time planning our specific projects and preparing to be a part of the Italian culture. But, more than anything else, we want to begin praying for the people we'll be serving. Here's a brief introduction:
The church is about 60% Italian-speaking and 40% English-speaking (mostly military families). There is quite a mixture of Italians and foreigners (mostly Americans). They are excited to have us join them for a week in April!
Danilo (one of the Italian youth leaders) and me sharing with the youth group about our project
Some of the Italian teens at youth group
Me with the Italian youth leaders (Claudia, me, Marica, Danilo)
White Elephant with the youth group kids

Photos of the Area - Pozzuoli
Here are some photos of the area where we'll be working! Last night after I arrived in Italy, we spent some time in Pozzuoli, one of the places that Paul went as recorded in the book of Acts. Of course, we got some gelato, too!

Introducing Our Team!
John. Heather. Grace. Sunshine. Marshall. Brianne. Lizi. Emmalee. John. Lois. Andrew. Jaz.
We are 2 staff and 10 students, many of whom did not know each other before this M-Trip. We come from different countries, we have different backgrounds, and we hold different passports.
But we pray that God will unify us. We pray that together we can help and encourage others. In Christ, we are one.

Please Pray For Us!
Our team of 10 students and 2 leaders from Black Forest Academy are heading to Naples, Italy, for a week in April! We are excited for the opportunity to work with an international church there and spend time with the teenagers in their youth group.
Please pray for us:
1. Courage -- Pray that we will have boldness to form new friendships and share about Jesus.
2. Unity -- Pray that our team would get along well.
3. Safety -- Pray for safe travels and safety while we are on the trip.
4. Servant's hearts -- Pray that we would be focused on helping others, not just having a good time.
5. Flexibility -- Pray that we would be able to "go with the flow" when plans change!
